Circleville Middle School Tournament Results
The Aces finished
in 2nd place in the Circleville tournament finishing the
season with a strong effort, here are the game results:

Amanda Clearcreek 6 Hilliard Memorial 0
The Aces started the tournament with a game against Hilliard Memorial
MS. The aces defense had a
strong game shutting out Hilliard.
Offensively in the first half we scored 2 goals, then picked up
the play in the second half putting 4 more shots in the back of the net.
The scoring was spread out with 6 different players getting
goals. The win advanced the
Aces to the next round. Goals:
Baldwin 1, Harrow 1, Hollett 1, Sahr 1, Forquer 1, Riffle 1
Assists: Baldwin 2, Kirchgessner 1, Harrow 1, Leddingham 1,
Riffle 1 Goalie Saves: Forquer 2, Hollett 1.

Semi-Final Game
Amanda Clearcreek 2 Circleville 1
We expected a good game against the Tigers.
As expected that is how it occurred.
An exciting game though out.
With the game tied 1-1 in the second half Harrow was able to put
in a goal to take the lead. Then
strong defense kept the Tigers from scoring and the Aces prevailed to
move on to the championship game..

Championship Game
Amanda Clearcreek 2 Columbus School for Girls 3
The Aces were pumped up and ready to take on the Unicorn from CSG for
the tournament championship. The
Aces drew first blood 5 minutes into the match when Savannah Sahr took a
long pass from Maxine Kirchgessner drilling a 20 yard shot high and to
the right! The defense held
strong until the Unicorns squeezed in a shot from 18 yards out into the
bottom left corner of the goal. Halftime
score 1-1. The Aces scored
first again early in the 2nd half when Morgan Baldwin out
raced the Unicorn goalie to a through ball from Kirchgessner, poking the
ball in into the net. The
Unicorn tied the score 2-2 with a break-a-away mid-way through the half.
The Unicorns took the lead with 4 minutes left of a hard 20 yard
shot that was almost headed away by our defense.
The Aces put on an offensive rush for the last 4 minutes, but
were unable to score. The
team finished their season with an awesome effort that mad the coaches
and parents very proud. Goals: Sahr 1, Baldwin 1 Assists:
Kirchgessner 2, Goalie Saves: Hollett 5.

Unofficial game, called due to weather 20 minutes into game.

The Zane Trace Pioneers came to Stoutsville under threatening skies.
The Aces started off strong with a goal 10 minutes into the game
when Audrey Chattos sent a long ball up to Bailey Harrow who finished
the play off with a score. Then 20 minutes into the game the
storms came and the game was called due to lightning. We were
unable to get a full half of play in so this game is not official.
Goals: Harrow 1; Assists: Chattos 1. Goalie Saves: Forquer 6.

The Aces traveled the short drive to Circleville to play the Tigers. The game was an evenly played match with action on both ends of the field. The Tigers scored there only goal on a PK in the first half. The Aces had an opportunity to tie the match with 2 minutes left on their own PK opportunity, but the shot hit the left upright. A flurry of action in front the Tiger goal could not result in the Aces putting the ball in the net in the last 2 minutes. The Aces lose their 3rd game of the year. Goalie Saves: Forquer 3.

This was our rematch game with CSG after they handed us our first lose. We hoped to bounce back with the game on our pitch. The Aces got off to a slow start with CSG racking up 2 goals by half-time. Though we played better in the second half we were unable to put the ball in the net. CSG added a third goal in the second half. To take the win 3-0. Goals: Goalie Saves: Hollett 9.

For this game the Aces traveled to Columbus to play Columbus School for Girls. The Aces were handed our first loss by an excellent team. Down 1-0 at the half and 2-0 in the second half, we continued to play hard. Putting the ball in the net to bring the score to 2-1. Great goalie work from Hollett kept the game close. Though we had a flurry of action in from of the CSG goal we were unable to put in the tying goal. We look forward to our rematch. Goals: Kirchgessner 1. Assists: Harrow 1. Goalie Saves: Hollett 16.

The Lady Aces traveled to Hilliard again for a game. The Aces started the game on fire scoring 2 goals within 5 minutes and entered halftime with a 5-0 lead.. Our offense and defense dominated the game. Our lead allowed our first year players to get a lot of quality playing time. Goals: Baldwin 1, Kirchgessner 1, Harrow 1, Friesner 1, Johnson 1, Riffle 1. Assists: Harrow 2, Chattos 1, Sahr 1, Friesner 1. Goalie Saves: Friesner 1.

As expected, this was a very competitive game. The Lady Aces played a good game both offensively and defensively. Holding onto a 3-2 lead with 3 minutes left in the game, Worthington Christian scored the game tying goal with 2.5 minutes left. We will look forward to our rematch on Sept. 30th. Goals: Kirchgessner 2, Sahr 1 Assists: Chattos 1, Harrow 1, Smith 1. Goalie Saves: Hollett 6, Forquer 6.

The Lady Aces played the first half of the game mostly in our defensive end of the field,
but we managed to keep the Tigers from scoring with some great goalie work and was able to
score one for the Aces. In the second half we picked up our intensity, continued the shutout

Only the first half of the game was able to be played do to tornado warnings. Half time score was 5-0. The Aces played a strong half keeping most play in our offensive end.
